Planning Consultants

Tom Cobleigh  Pub Group

Location -  Nationwide

Ashall Town Planning Consultants were appointed as sole Planning Consultant to the Tom Cobleigh Pub Group, when over a 4 year period they built over 30 new pub / restaurants from the ground up, which included brownfield and greenfield locations.

They also significantly invested in a further 30, incorporating extensive alterations.

We also acted as Project Coordinators, providing the Directors of Tom Cobleigh with regular weekly updates and a single point of  contact for all involved in the developments, including architects, surveyors and other professional consultants.

One example is when they wished to develop a new site at a former farmhouse at Four Crosses, Hatherton, in the Adopted Green Belt.

The local planning authority, South Staffordshire District Council considered the proposal to be contrary to both Local Plan and national Green Belt Policy.

Having evaluated the planning history in detail, Ashall Town Planning Consultants were able to convince the planning officer that the scheme would be acceptable.

Our in-depth research identified a previous unimplemented planning permission for a garden centre.

We also cited examples of other similar schemes developed in Green Belt locations throughout the UK.

These were both significant factors in obtaining a successful planning consent.

Ashall Town Planning Consultants has dealt with many planning applications and appeals relating to Public Houses and as a result have an in depth knowledge and understanding of all the relevant issues.

Perhaps you are trying to get permission for a change of use from a Public House to some other use, or intending to completely redevelop the site of a former Public House.
